TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of John Mark Mabile, 28, of 3606 Keith Street, Pierre Part, LA, on felony charges following a traffic stop in Pierre Part late Wednesday.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle.

The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as John Mark Mabile. After interviewing Mabile, the deputy requested the presence of a K-9 unit. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted on specific locations of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded assorted drug paraphernalia and illegal narcotics.

John Mark Mabile was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Xanax (Alprazolam)
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Careless Operation

John Mark Mabile was released on a $5,000.00 bond.
