TRAFFIC STOP / DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – GABRIEL FRANCIS RANDLE
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Gabriel Francis Randle, 22, of 219 Gail Drive, Patterson, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop near Labadieville, LA.
Deputies responded to a complaint of a reckless driver on LA 1 near Labadieville. Deputies located the vehicle in question and executed a stop of that vehicle and made contact with the driver, now identified as Gabriel Francis Randle. The deputy conducted an officer / violator interview and determined that additional investigation was warranted. The deputy summoned a K-9 unit to the stop location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted positive for the presence of controlled dangerous substances.
The suspect vehicle was searched resulting in the seizure of a considerable amount of suspected marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Gabriel Francis Randle was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Illegal Use of Controlled Dangerous Substances in the Presence of Persons Under the
Age of 17 (Minor Present)
Gabriel Francis Randle remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
