TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – ERICK ALLEN BRUNNER
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Erick Allen Brunner, 42, of 107 Melissa Street, Labadieville, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop in the area of LA 1 and Birch Street near Labadieville.
A narcotics officer on assignment observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The officer made contact with the driver now identified as Erick Allen Brunner and determined that Brunner was driving under a suspended driver’s license. The deputy conducted a warrants check and determined that Brunner was wanted on a warrant for Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on a felony drug charge. Erick Allen Brunner was arrested. During a protective pat down search incidental to the arrest, the officer seized a quantity of methamphetamine. A K-9 was summoned to the location and conducted an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle and alerted positive for the presence of controlled dangerous substances. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of drug paraphernalia containing traces of suspected methamphetamine.
Erick Allen Bruner was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Stop Sign Violation
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Warrant – Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on November 25, 2024, on
Count of:
-Possession of Methamphetamine
Erick Allen Brunner remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
