TRAFFIC STOP, DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Ty Joseph Albarado, 26, of 3117 Highway 308, Napoleonville, LA, on felony drug charges following a traffic stop on Tuesday.
A uniformed patrol deputy on assignment observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation near Labadieville and initiated a stop of the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Ty Joseph Albarado.
During the investigative stop, the deputy noticed a strong odor emitting from the suspect vehicle and believed it to be suspected marijuana.
The deputy requested consent to search the vehicle and Ty Albarado consented.
During that process, a quantity of suspected marijuana, assorted paraphernalia and a firearm was recovered.
Ty Joseph Albarado was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Expired Temporary Registration Plate
*Turning Movements – Required Signals
Ty Joseph Albarado was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
