TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Carlin Peter Gaudet, 39, of 402 Belle River Road, Pierre Part, LA, on felony drug charges following a traffic stop in Napoleonville late Wednesday evening.

A deputy on patrol assignment observed a vehicle near the intersection of LA 1 and LA 402 and initiated a stop of the vehicle.

Upon coming into contact with the driver, now identified as Carlin Peter Gaudet, the deputy noted Gaudet to be acting nervously and provided several inconsistent statements during the interview process.

Gaudet consented to a search of his vehicle which yielded assorted drug paraphernalia and anabolic steroids. Carlin Peter Gaudet was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Steroids (Felony)
*Turning Movements or Required Signals

Carlin Peter Gaudet bonded out on a $10,000 bond.
