TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
CLAY P. METREJEAN, III
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Clay P. Metrejean, III, 27, of 36300, Highway 69, White Castle, LA, on felony charges following a traffic stop by the Sheriff’s I.C.E. Unit on Tuesday evening.
Deputies, assigned to the I.C.E. Unit, observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on LA 69 near Grand Bayou, LA. A traffic stop was initiated and contact made with the driver.
Deputies noted suspicious activity by a passenger now identified as Clay P. Metrejean, III. Deputies requested that Metrejean remove himself from the vehicle and he refused.
Deputies engaged Metrejean and were able to restrain and remove him. Upon searching the vehicle, assorted paraphernalia as well as meth-amphetamine was seized.
Clay P. Metrejean, III was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Resisting an Officer (2 Counts)
Clay P. Metrejean, III remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
