TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Brandon O. Watts, 30, of 108 Blackwell Lane, Belle Rose, La., on felony drug charges following a traffic stop near Plattenville, La.

An I.C.E. assigned deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on Friday evening and proceeded to stop the vehicle.

The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Brandon O. Watts. The suspect was interviewed and acknowledged that there was a quantity of marijuana in the vehicle.

A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizures of additional marijuana, assorted paraphernalia as well as an amount of U.S. currency.

Brandon O. Watts was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Illegal Window Tint

Brandon O. Watts was incarcerated and released on a $7500 bond.
