TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
MATTHEW JOSEPH MADERE, ANITA MARIE HOFFPAUIR and
BRUCE J. KNOCKUM
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Matthew Joseph Madere, 32,of 5494 Highway 308, Plattenville, LA, Anita Marie Hoffpauir, 31, of 521 Main Project Road, Gray, LA and Bruce J. Knockum, 59, of 125 Jones Street, Napoleonville, LA, on charges arising out of a Thursday evening traffic stop on LA 308 in Plattenville, LA.
An I.C.E. assigned officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle.
Upon coming into contact with the driver, now identified as Anita Marie Hoffpauir, she was not in possession of a valid driver’s license. It was determined that Hoffpauir was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Hoffpauir was evasive and consistently attempted to distract the officer.
At some point, the passenger, Matthew Joseph Madere advised that he was possessing a quantity of meth-amphetamine.
During follow-up, assorted drug paraphernalia was seized from Anita Marie Hoffpauir and Bruce J. Knockum.
All three suspects were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges as follows:
-Matthew Joseph Madere:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Madere remains incarcerated with a bond set at $12,500.
-Anita Marie Hoffpauir:
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Driving Under Suspension
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Fugitive Warrant (Lafourche Parish)
Hoffpauir bonded out of Assumption Parish was transferred to Lafourche Parish.
-Bruce J. Knockum:
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Knockum posted bond.
