TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Keith Caballero, 63, of 7435 Highway 308, Donaldsonville, LA and Edward Larkin Beeson, 61, of 6812 Highway 1, Belle Rose, LA, on felony drug charges following a traffic stop on LA 70 East late Tuesday night.

A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and proceeded to stop the vehicle.

The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Keith Caballero and one passenger identified as Edward Larkin Beeson.

As a result of the stop and follow-up investigation, Keith Caballero was found to be illegally in possession of Hydrocodone. Edward Larkin Beeson was found to be illegally in possession of Oxycodone.

Keith Caballero was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Facility on charges of:

*Possession of Hydrocodone
*Driving Under Suspension
*Head Lamps Required

Keith Caballero was released on a $25,000 bond.

Edward Larkin Beeson was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Facility on a charge of:

*Possession of Oxycodone

Edward Larkin Beeson remains incarcerated with a bond set at $20,000.
