TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jody Paul Boudreaux, 44, of 142 Redwood Street, Labadieville, LA, late Thursday following a traffic stop on LA 1 in Labadieville.
A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in Labadieville and initiated a stop of that vehicle.
The driver, now identified as Jody Paul Boudreaux appeared nervous and evasive.
During the stop, it was determined that the suspect was driving with a suspended driver’s license.
After the officer / driver interview, a K-9 was summoned to the scene. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle and alerted positive to the presence of illegal narcotics. During a subsequent search, a quantity of meth-amphetamine was recovered.
Jody Paul Boudreaux was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
Jody Paul Boudreaux remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
