TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Andre Joseph Patterson, 41, of 110 Bertrand Street, Napoleonville, LA, arising out of a traffic stop near Labadieville on Tuesday.
A uniformed patrol officer observed a southbound vehicle on LA-308 and attempted a stop of the vehicle for multiple violations. The suspect vehicle continued on in an attempt to evade the deputy and then stopped at a residence off of LA-1014 north of Labadieville.
The responding deputies immediately detained the suspect, now identified as Andre Joseph Patterson. Deputies determined that Patterson was driving on a suspended driver’s license.
Deputies conducted an inventory search prior to towing and did seize a quantity of meth-amphetamine and documented said search.
Andre Joseph Patterson was arrested and booked into the parish detention center on charges of:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Improper Passing
*Speeding
*Flight from and Officer
*Driving Under Suspension
Andre Joseph Patterson remains incarcerated with a bond set at $30,000.
