TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS, BRYAN PATRICK SIMONEAUX
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Bryan Patrick Simoneaux, 33, of 5824 Highway 1, Napoleonville on felony drug charges following a traffic stop late Wednesday.
A narcotics unit observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations in the LA. 308 – Spur 70 area.
The agent conducted a stop of the vehicle and made contact with the driver now identified as Bryan Patrick Simoneaux. The deputy learned that Simoneaux was driving on a suspended driver’s license.
During the officer/driver interview, the deputy noted conditions consistent with illegal drug activity.
As a result of that interview, the suspect vehicle was searched. During the search process, quantities of marijuana and methamphetamine were recovered along with drug paraphernalia.
Bryan Patrick Simoneaux was arrested and booked into the parish detention center on charges of:
- Speeding
- Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
- Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of Marijuana
Bryan Patrick Simoneaux remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
