TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Monique Marie Ledet, 35, of 403 Baptist Circle, Houma, LA, on felony drug law violations arising from a traffic stop late Tuesday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the area of Rosedale Road and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Monique Marie Ledet. The deputy conducted an officer / driver interview and then proceeded to interview a passenger.
Based on those interviews, the deputy requested and was granted permission to search the vehicle. During that process, a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was seized and attributed to Monique Marie Ledet.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Monique Marie Ledet was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Switched License Plate
*Failure to Display License Plate
Monique Marie Ledet remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
