TRAFFIC STOP / DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS / FUGITIVE WARRANTS
CARLIE RENEE DUPLANTIS and CHASE MICHAEL HALE
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Carlie Renee Duplantis, 23, of 2478 Highway 1, Raceland, LA and Chase Michael Hale, 23, of 106 Willow Lane, Thibodaux, LA, on drug charges following a traffic stop west of Labadieville, LA on Saturday.
A uniformed patrol officer observed a westbound vehicle on LA 398 commit a traffic violation. The deputy initiated a stop of the vehicle and made contact with the driver now identified as Carlie Renee Duplantis. The deputy noted an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
The deputy removed the driver as well as the one passenger identified as Chase Michael Hale from the vehicle and interviewed both subjects. During that dialogue, Chase Michael Hale acknowledged possessing marijuana on his person which was seized. Deputies also confirmed a fugitive warrant from Lafourche Parish was active.
Carlie Renee Duplantis consented to a search of her vehicle which yielded doses of Alprazolam. She was placed under arrest.
Carlie Renee Duplantis was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Prohibited Acts – Possession of Alprazolam
Chase Michael Hale was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and was arrested on charges of:
*Fugitive Warrant – Lafourche Parish
Carlie Renee Duplantis was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Chase Michael Hale awaits transfer to Lafourche Parish To answer to the fugitive warrant.
