TRAFFIC STOP DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – I.C.E. ARREST
BRANDON ORLIN BURRESCIA
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Brandon Orlin Burrescia, 41, of 45186 Rogers Road, Hammond, LA, arising from a traffic stop on LA 1 near Labadieville, LA, on Tuesday afternoon.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle’s occupants not utilizing seat belts. The deputy initiated a stop of that vehicle and made contact with the driver now identified as Brandon Orlin Burrescia. The deputy conducted an interview of Burrescia. During the investigative stop, the deputy determined that Brandon Orlin Burrescia was driving under a suspended driver’s license and the license plate of the vehicle had been switched. Due to all circumstances, the deputy requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle. During that process a quantity of suspected controlled dangerous substances were seized.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Brandon Orlin Burrescia was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Prohibited Acts: Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance
*Security (Insurance) Required
*Switched License Plate
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*No Seat Belt
Brandon Orlin Burrescia remains incarcerated, pending a bond hearing.
The lone passenger, Kacie Lynn Zeringue, 37, of 8872 Bayside Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA, was cited for No Seat Belt.
