TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – I.C.E. ARREST
DARRELL JEROME BOZEMAN
BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Darrell Jerome Bozeman, 65, of 161 Georgetown Lane, Belle Rose, La., on felony drug charges arising from a traffic incident near Belle Rose on Tuesday by an I.C.E. assigned deputy.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle on Georgetown Lane commit a traffic violation and attempted a stop of that vehicle. The driver continued on and disregarded the deputy’s attempt to stop him. The suspect eventually stopped.
The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Darrell Jerome Bozeman. The deputy engaged Bozeman in an officer violator interview. At the conclusion of that interview, deputy believed additional investigation was warranted.
The deputy requested consent to search the suspect vehicle which Darrell Jerome Bozeman granted. During the subsequent search of the vehicle, deputies seized crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Darrell Jerome Bozeman was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Flight From an Officer
*Speeding – 46 Miles Per Hour in a 15 Miles Per Hour Speed Zone
*Switched License Plate
Darrell Jerome Bozeman remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
