TRAFFIC STOP, DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS (I.C.E. ARREST)

BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Tammy Lynn Lucas, 47, of 3418 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a late evening traffic stoop on LA 308 in Napoleonville by the Sheriff’s I.C.E Unit.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a northbound vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Tammy Lynn Lucas and engaged her into an officer / violator interview.
At the conclusion of the interview, the deputy believed that additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested a K-9 unit at the scene. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted positive to the presence of controlled dangerous substances. A search of the suspect vehicle resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Tammy Lynn Lucas was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges off:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Tail Lamps Required
Tammy Lynn Lucas remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
