TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – I.C.E. ARRESTS
ANDREW JOSEPH SAVOY, FISCHER MARTIN SEYMOUR
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Andrew Joseph Savoy, 19, of 1920 Lansdown Ave, Port Allen, LA, and Fischer Martin Seymour, 20, of 2120 Live Oak Drive, Brusly, LA, on felony drug and gun law violations arising from a traffic stop on LA 1 near Paincourtville on Thursday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Andrew Joseph Savoy. The deputy noted one passenger in the vehicle later identified as Fischer Martin Seymour.
The deputy interviewed both the driver and passenger. As those interviews concluded, the deputy believed additional investigation was warranted. At some point Fischer Martin Seymour emptied his pockets and was in possession of a bottle of what was labeled as CBD vape juice. Upon interviewing Andrew Joseph Savoy, he indicated that he possessed (1) one bottle of CBD vape juice inside of the vehicle. Andrew Joseph Savoy was taken into custody. As a second deputy attempted to take Fischer Martin Seymour into custody, he began to run. Seymour was quickly apprehended and arrested.
Deputies secured the suspect vehicle and obtained a search warrant for the vehicle.
During the execution of that warrant, deputies seized four hundred twenty-four (424) bottles of illegal CBD liquid and a large caliber firearm.
Andrew Joseph Savoy was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
* Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance to wit: Synthetic Cannabinoids
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Speeding 61 MPH in a 50 MPH Speed Zone
*Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection Tag
*Improper Display of Plate
Fischer Martin Seymour was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance to wit: Synthetic Cannabinoids
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Flight from an Officer
Andrew Joseph Savoy and Fischer Martin Seymour remain incarcerated pending bond proceedings.
