TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – SHANNON M. SCRIBNER
I.C.E. ARREST
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Shannon Marie Scribner, 40, of 131 Simone Street, Pierre Part, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 70 East on Saturday.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Chet Paul Landry, 45, of 133 Comeaux Street, Pierre Part, LA and on passenger, identified as Shannon M. Scribner.
The deputy noted a pungent odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the suspect vehicle. The deputy made observations consistent with illegal drug activity and concluded that additional investigation was warranted.
The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle.
During the search process, the deputy recovered a quantity of methamphetamine which was attributed to Shannon Marie Scribner as well as an amount of Alprazolam (Xanax).
Shannon Marie Scribner was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Xanax (Alprazolam)
Shannon Marie Scribner remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Chet Paul Landry was cited for:
*Driving Under a Suspended License
*Illegal Window Tint
Chet Paul Landry was released with a court date.
