TRAFFIC STOP / DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Abbie Sanchez, 33, of 6483 Highway 1, Belle Rose, LA, on drug law violations following a Thursday afternoon traffic stop near Napoleonville, LA.

A narcotics agent observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on LA 401 near LA 1. The agent initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver and a passenger, Abbie Sanchez. Agents interviewed both occupants.

As a result of those interviews and other observations, a quantity of Suboxone was seized and attributed to Abbie Sanchez.

Based on those factors, Abbie Sanchez was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Possession of Suboxone

Abbie Sanchez was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
