TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG VIOLATIONS- ANDREW EURA SCOTT
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Andrew Eura Scott, 48, of 106 Bertrand Street, Napoleonville, La., on felony charges arising from a traffic stop near Bertrandville on Saturday morning.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Andrew Eura Scott and engaged the driver in an officer / violator interview. The deputy determined that Andrew Eura Scott did not possess a Louisiana drivers license. The deputy noted a pungent odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
At the conclusion of the interview, the deputy believed that additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle. During that process, deputies located and seized suspected marijuana.
Andrew Eura Scott was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*No Driver’s License
*Turning Movements and Signals Required
*Probation / Parole Detainer

Andrew Eura Scott was ordered held without bond on the Probation / Parole detainer and bond on remaining charges was set at $50,000.
