TRAFFIC STOP, EQUIPMENT VIOLATION, OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE – DANDRE A. ROBERTSON
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dandre A. Robertson, 29, of 311 Jefferson Street, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 1 near Plattenville early Thursday. A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle on LA 1 with an equipment violation and executed a stop of that vehicle.
The deputy approached the driver now identified as Dandre A. Robertson and Robertson was belligerent, argumentative and refused to comply with any commands issued by the deputy.
The suspect continued his verbal attack on the deputy compelling the deputy to request assistance from other deputies.
When assistance arrived, the suspect exited his vehicle but continued to be non-compliant. At some point, deputies attempted to take Dandre A. Robertson into custody at which time Robertson resisted those efforts.
Dandre A. Robertson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Obstruction of Justice
*Resisting Arrest
*Improper Display of License Plate
Dandre A. Robertson remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
