TRAFFIC STOP / FAILURE TO APPEAR WARRANT / FUGITIVE – CARNESHA NICOLE CARTER, CEDRIC LAWRENCE DAVIS
BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Carnesha Nicole Carter, 40, of 53275 Point Street, White Castle, LA, on various charges following a traffic stop on LA 69 early Saturday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Cedric Lawrence, 51, of 5790 CPL Herman BRO, White Castle, LA. While interviewing the driver and a passenger, now identified as Carnesha Nicole Carter, the deputy was advised that she may be a fugitive.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that Carnesha Nicole Carter was wanted in Ascension and Iberville Parishes. The deputy also determined that Carter was wanted in Assumption Parish for Failure to Appear in Court on a charge of Possession of Marijuana.
During this traffic stop, a quantity of marijuana was seized from the vehicle after the two suspects consented to a search.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Cedric Lawrence Davis was cited for a traffic violation and released.
Carnesha Nicole Carter was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Resisting an Officer
*Possession of Marijuana
*Fugitive Warrant – Ascension Parish
*Fugitive Warrant – Iberville Parish
*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on Charges of Possession of Marijuana
Carnesha Nicole Carter remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
