TRAFFIC STOP – FELONY ARREST
JASON RALPH PROCELL, JR., NIKKI NICOLE CARUSO

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Jason Ralph Procell, Jr., 29, of 8828 Greenleaves Drive, Denham Springs, LA and Nikki Nicole Caruso, 35, of 412 Oneil Chube Street, Franklin, LA, on felony charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 398 near Labadieville on Tuesday evening.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Jason Ralph Procell, Jr. and the passenger now identified as Nikki Nicole Caruso and proceeded to interview both subjects. Deputies then interviewed another occupant now identified as Joseph J. Thibodeaux, 26, of 108 Alpha Street, Franklin, LA. As deputies began to interact with Thibodeaux, he began to resist those efforts.

Deputies did seize assorted drug paraphernalia during the investigation.

At the conclusion of the incident, deputies filed the following charges:

-As to Jason Ralph Procell, Jr.:
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Switched License Plate
*Failure to Dim Headlights
*Fugitive – West Feliciana Parish
*Fugitive – East Baton Rouge Parish

-As to Nikki Nicole Caruso:
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

-As to Joseph J. Thibodeaux:
*2 Counts Resisting an Officer

Jason Ralph Procell, Jr., Nikki Nicole Caruso and Joseph J. Thibodeaux were all booked on their respective charges and remain in the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending bond hearings.
