TRAFFIC STOP FUGITIVE ARREST – I.C.E. ARREST

PLATTENVILLE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kasey A. Carter, 37, of 139 Virginia Street, Belle Rose, La., on fugitive warrants following a traffic stop and foot pursuit near plattenville on Monday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and conducted a stop of that vehicle. The deputy observed an individual wearing a facemask run from the vehicle. The deputy pursued the subject on foot and was able to subdue him. The suspect now identified as Kasey A. Carter was determined to be wanted by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office on multiple fugitive charges.
Kasey A. Carter was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Fugitive Warrants from the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office on counts of:
-Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
-Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway
-Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
-Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Resisting An Officer- Assumption Parish
Kasey A. Carter remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
