TRAFFIC STOP – FUGITIVE – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – ADAM LEROY HUNT
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Adam Leroy Hunt, 35, of 129 Highway 401, Napoleonville, LA on a fugitive warrant and drug law violations arising from a traffic stop near Napoleonville late Sunday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Adam Leroy Hunt. During a criminal records check, deputies were advised that Adam Leroy Hunt was wanted on a fugitive warrant from Ascension Parish.
An open-air sniff of the vehicle in question by a sheriff’s office K-9 produced positive results. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of drug paraphernalia.
Adam Leroy Hunt was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Fugitive Warrant – Ascension Parish
Adam Leroy Hunt was issued a summons for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Hunt was also issued violation tickets for
*Improper Lane Usage
*Open Container
Adam Leroy Hunt was later transferred to the custody of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.
