TRAFFIC STOP – FUGITIVE WARRANTS – RUSSELL L. PREAN
BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Russell L. Prean,44, of 214 Grisaffi Lane, Belle Rose, La., on multiple charges, including a felony fugitive warrant following a traffic stop on LA. 308 near Paincourtville on Tuesday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a southbound vehicle on LA. 308 commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of that vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Russell L. Prean. The deputy initiated an officer / violator interview at which time the driver identified himself by the name of another individual. The deputy later determined that the driver was Russell L. Prean.
The deputy determined that Russell L. Prean was driving under a suspended driver’s license and furthermore that Prean was wanted on a fugitive warrant from St. James Parish for felony theft.
Russell L. Prean was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Speeding – 80 Miles Per Hour in a 55 Miles Per Hour Zone
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Misrepresentation of Identity
*Fugitive Warrant – St. James Parish – Felony Theft
*Fugitive Warrant – Failure to Appear – St. James Parish- Non – Support
Russell L. Prean remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
