TRAFFIC STOP – MULTIPLE DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Anna C. Bergmann, 29, of 1403 VZ County Road, 4517 Van Texas, Texas, on multiple felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 398 west of Labadieville late Monday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a westbound vehicle commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Anna C. Bergmann, and initiated an officer / violator interview. At the onset of that interview, the deputy noted a pungent odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
The deputy proceeded to interview the lone passenger in the vehicle.
At the conclusion of those interviews, the deputy believed further investigation was warranted.
The deputy summoned a K-9 unit to the location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle and alerted positive for the presence of controlled dangerous substances.
Deputies conducted a search of the suspect vehicle and seized quantities of Klonapin, Adderall, Hydrocodone, methamphetamine, marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Anna C. Bergmann was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Klonopin (Clonazepam)
*Possession of Adderall
*Possession of Hydrocodone
*Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Speeding – 87 mph / 55mph
Anna C. Bergmann remains incarcerated with bond set at $125,000.
