TRAFFIC STOP – PROBATION VIOLATION

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Alvin Alexander Martin, 37, of 6143 Highway 308, Paincourtville, LA on a felony probation violation warrant following a traffic stop near Pierre Part early Sunday.

A K-9 unit on assignment observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver and there were two passengers, one of which was Alvin Alexander Martin.

The deputy conducted an inquiry with the communications division concerning outstanding warrants and that process revealed an outstanding probation warrant on Alvin Alexander Martin relative to a prior conviction for manslaughter.

Alvin Alexander Martin was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a warrant for:

*Probation Violation

Alvin Alexander Martin was incarcerated without bond.
