TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS, CLANDESTINE METH LAB – FUGITIVES
SONIA MARIE TODD, DAVID M. MIRE

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Sonia Marie Todd, 43, of 120 Shannon Street, Patterson, LA, and David M. Mire, 45, 131 Velma Court, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on charges arising out of a traffic stop Monday morning on LA Highway 662.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of the vehicle. Upon doing so, the deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Sonia Marie Todd. The deputy conducted an officer / violator interview with the driver and conducted the same with the passenger, now identified as David M. Mire.

They noted both, Todd and Mire to be acting nervously and during the interview process, Mire provided a false name as his identification.

The communications division advised that there were existing fugitive warrants on both, Sonia Marie Todd and David M. Mire.

Due to all conditions and circumstances present at the time, the deputy concluded that additional
investigation was warranted and thus summoned a K-9 to the location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and produced a positive result for the presence of controlled dangerous substances.

During the search process, deputies seized items consistent with materials used in the operation of a clandestine mobile “Shake and Bake” meth lab which was attributed to Sonia Marie Todd.
