UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Melissa J. Baldwin, 49, of 1908 Highway 70 South, Pierre Part, La., on felony charges arising from an incident in the 1900 block of LA. 70 in Pierre Part on April 23,2026.

On the aforementioned date deputies responded to a complaint of a stolen vehicle. Deputies made contact with the complainant who advised that his former domestic partner now identified as Melissa J. Baldwin may have taken his 2007 Land Rover without authorization.

The vehicle was entered in the National Crime Information Center Database.

Melissa J. Baldwin was arrested by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office on April 24, 2026.

Melissa J. Baldwin was released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on April 29, 2026.

Deputies booked Melissa J. Baldwin into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle

Melissa J. Baldwin remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
