UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOVEABLE, THEFT FROM AN ACCESS
CARD – AMBER RENE COURTEAUX
PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Amber Rene Courteaux, 38, of 44324 Melancon Street, Sorrento, LA, on charges related to the Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Theft of Funds from an Access Card.
On November 1, 2024, deputies responded to a complaint alleging that a former domestic partner had assumed use of the complainant’s vehicle without his permission and had withdrawn funds from an access card.
Deputies investigated the matter and determined that on or about October 12, 2024, the accused now identified as Amber Rene Courteaux took possession of the complainant’s vehicle while he was away. It was further determined that Courteaux withdrew funds belonging to the complainant through use of a bank card. The accused had previously been in a relationship with the complainant, but that relationship had ended prior to the alleged crimes.
At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies obtained arrest warrants for Amber Renee Courteaux.
On Saturday, deputies arrested Amber Rene Courteaux in Pierre Part and booked her into the Assumption Parish Detention Cener on charges of:
*Unauthorized Use of a Moveable
*Theft
Amber Rene Courteaux remains in incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
