UNAUTHORIZED USE OF AN ACCESS CARD

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Charles Manuel Jones, 60, of 4428 Highway 308, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges related to the unlawful use of an access card.

On July 16, 2022, deputies responded to a complaint related to an individual unlawfully using an access card belonging to the complainant. According to the victim, a friend, now identified as Charles Manuel Jones, transported him to an ATM to withdraw funds. Upon returning from the ATM, the victim discovered that there were three unauthorized transactions conducted on his account totaling $460.

Through investigation, deputies determined that at some point, Charles Manuel Jones gained possession of the victim’s access card and was responsible for the theft of the $460.

Charles Manuel Jones was arrested on Saturday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Unauthorized Use of an Access Card (3 Counts – Felony)

Charles Manuel Jones remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
