UNLAWFUL DISRUPTION OF THE OPERATION OF A SCHOOL
BELLE ROSE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Seth Randal Demere, 18, of 125 Pershing Street, Golden Meadow, LA, on charges related to a September 26, 2019 incident near Belle Rose, LA.
On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a traffic complaint in which an unknown individual was allegedly driving through private lawns causing damage to the personal properties.
At some point, deputies located the suspect vehicle which had been abandoned. The vehicle was registered to a Seth Randal Demere. Simultaneously, a subject believed to be the individual driving that vehicle was sighted near Belle Rose Middle School. As a result, the school was placed on lockdown.
A short time later, Demere was located and detained. Demere had to be transported to a medical facility for treatment of an unknown medical condition.
As a result of this incident, deputies filed arrest warrants charging Demere with:
*Hit and Run
*Resisting an Officer
*Unlawful Disruption of the Operation of a School
Demere was arrested on Wednesday in Lafourche Parish. He was transferred to Assumption Parish and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on those counts.
Seth Randal Demere remains in the custody of Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office in lieu of $30,000.
