NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jason J. Matthews, Sr., 44, of 178 North Friendship Lane, Amelia, La., on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court in Assumption Parish on felony drug charges.
Jason J. Matthews, Sr., was previously arrested in Assumption Parish and as a result of that arrest was ordered to appear in court on February 3, 2025, and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Jason J. Matthews, Sr. on February 5,2025.
Jason J. Matthews, Sr. was arrested by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office on June1,2026.
Jason J. Matthews, Sr. was released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on July 17,2026. Jason J. Matthews, Sr. was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on February 3,2025 for a Guilty
Plea Cut Off Hearing on a Count of:
-Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance With Intent
To Distribute to Wit: Marijuana

Jason J. Matthews, Sr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
