WARRANT – SECOND DEGREE BATTERY
ASHLEY MARIE CHEVIS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Ashley Marie Chevis, 31, of 709A Jefferson Street, Napoleonville, LA, on charges related to a fight which occurred on August 18, 2020.

On August 24, 2020, deputies responded to a call requesting assistance to unlock a vehicle on Gold Street in Napoleonville. Upon arriving at the location, the deputy requested a warrant check on the complainant who was identified as Ashley Marie Chevis.

At that time, the deputy was advised that a warrant charging Chevis with Second Degree Battery was outstanding.

That warrant stemmed from the fight on August 18, 2020 in which an individual received injuries requiring hospital care. It was determined that Chevis and the injured party engaged in a verbal dispute that turned physical.

As a result, charges were filed.

Ashley Marie Chevis was arrested on Monday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Second Degree Battery

Ashley Marie Chevis was released on a $5,000 surety bond.
