AGGRAVATED SECOND DEGREE BATTERY
AGGRAVATED SECOND DEGREE BATTERY – RICHARD LEMON AND A 15-YEAR-OLD JUVENILE
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Richard Lemon, 62, of 163 Daggs Street, Belle Rose, LA, and the filing of a verified complaint against a 15-year-old juvenile arising from an incident at a residence in the 6000 block of LA 308 on Monday afternoon.
Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies located a 15-year-old male and a second individual, now identified as Richard Leomon who were both injured.
An investigation ensued and deputies determined that Richard Lemon and the juvenile engaged in a fight. During the incident, the juvenile struck Richard Lemon with a brick and Lemon struck the juvenile in the head with a bottle. Both required medical attention and were transported to a local healthcare facility for treatment. Both were treated and released.
Richard Lemon was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:
*Aggravated Second Degree Battery
Richard Lemon remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Deputies took the juvenile into custody and charged him by verified complaint on a count of:
*Aggravated Second Degree Battery
The juvenile was ordered held in custody at a juvenile correctional facility pending judicial proceedings.
