FUGITIVE ARREST – DONTAE MALIK WILLIAMS

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dontae Malik Williams, 27, of 37244 Miller Road, Prairieville, LA, on multiple fugitive warrants following a complaint alleged by an individual at a privately sanctioned event in Paincourtville on Saturday afternoon.

Deputies working that event received a complaint made against Donate Malik Williams. While investigating the complaint, deputies determined that Williams was wanted on multiple fugitive warrants.

As deputies approached Dontae Malik Williams, he began to run. Williams then ran into a cane field. Pursuing deputies were able to catch up to Williams and arrested him. During a personal search incident to arrest, Dontae Malik Williams was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana.

Dontae Malik Williams was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Charges of:
*Resisting an Officer
*Possession of Marijuana
*Fugitive – Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office – 3 Counts
*Fugitive – Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office

Dontae Malik Williams remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing on local charges and eventual transfer to answer to the fugitive warrants.
