TRAFFIC INCIDENT, PAROLE VIOLATION – KERRY J. PITRE, JR.
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kerry J. Pitre, Jr., 35, of 1889 Bayou Road, Thibodaux, LA, on a felony warrant charging him with a parole violation following a traffic stop on LA 70 East late Monday night.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. Detail observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Gary Wayne Doiron and conducted an officer / violator interview. The deputy then made contact with the passenger who fictitiously identified himself. At some point, it was determined that the passenger’s correct name was Kerry J Pitre, Jr. and he was a fugitive out of Elayne Hunt Correctional Center as a parole violator.
Kerry J. Pitre, Jr. was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

Kerry J. Pitre. Jr. remains incarcerated pending disposition through Elayne Hunt Correctional Center.
Gary Wayne Doiron was cited for Failure to Dim Headlights and released with a court date.
