9TH ANNUAL BAYOU REGION PUBLIC SAFETY EXPO

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office participated in the 9th Annual Bayou Region Public Safety Expo held at the Thibodaux Civic Center on Saturday, October 19, 2019.

Sheriff Leland Falcon said the event has become very popular, as it gives citizens of the surrounding communities the opportunity to come together in one setting to see first hand the vast array of equipment including mobile command posts, helicopter, S.W.A.T. equipment, K-9 units, motorcycles, patrol units, fire trucks, patrol boats and much more.

There were a number of activities including K-9 demonstrations, equipment demos, interactive training tools, safety demos, child safety seat inspections, etc.

Sheriff Falcon’s team displayed an armored truck, assorted firearms and different equipment associated with S.W.A.T. operations, and a patrol unit.

Sheriff Falcon thanks the Lafourche Parish Council, the Thibodaux Civic Center, the Thibodaux City Council and Bayou Region Public Services for sponsoring the event.
