AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A FIREARM
TOREY JEROME OLIVER, JR.

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Torey Jerome Oliver, Jr., 18, of 128 Daggs Street, Paincourtville, LA, on charges related to a domestic incident near Paincourtville on Thursday afternoon.

Deputies responded to a disturbance call on Dorseyville Lane and interviewed the complainant. Upon investigation, deputies determined that Torey Jerome Oliver, Jr. and a relative had gotten into an argument which led to a physical altercation. Oliver is accused of striking the individual, leaving the scene, then returning with a gun in hand.

Torey Jerome Oliver, Jr., was located at a residence on Skidmore Street in Bertrandville, Oliver was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Simple Battery
*Aggravated Assault with a Firearm

Torey Jerome Oliver, Jr. was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.

Deputies recovered a .38 Caliber revolver possessed by Oliver in the incident.
