ARREST WARRANTS – DRUG / GUN LAW VIOLATIONS
PRESTON MORRIS LEWIS, JR.
BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Preston Morris Lewis, Jr., 28, of 144 Jacobs Street, Bertrandville, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from the execution of a search warrant Wednesday afternoon in the 5400 block of LA 1 in Bertrandville.
The Sheriff’s Office was in possession of several arrest warrants for the person of Preston Morris Lewis, Jr. Investigators developed information that Preston Morris Lewis, Jr. was at a residence in Bertrandville. A search warrant was obtained for that location and on Wednesday afternoon, narcotics agents, detectives and uniformed patrol deputies converged on the residence. Once the scene was secured Preston Morris Lewis, Jr. was arrested.
The search warrant was executed, and that effort resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics and firearms.
Preston Morris Lewis, Jr. was transported to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office and booked on charges of:
*Possession of a firearm or Carrying of a Concealed Weapon by a Person Convicted of
Domestic Abuse Battery
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)
*Possession of Cannabinoids or Synthetic Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Resisting an Officer
*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish – Cruelty to Juveniles
*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish – Traffic Offenses
*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish – Battery of a Dating Partner
Preston Morris Lewis Jr. remains incarcerated pending bond proceedings.
