CRUELTY TO A JUVENILE WITH FORCE OR VIOLENCE
PRESTON MORRIS LEWIS, JR.

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Preston Morris Lewis, Jr., 26, of 144 Jacob Street, Bertrandville, LA, on charges related to the physical abuse of a 5-year-old child in the community of Pierre Part.

On February 14, 2020, the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint that a 5-year-old child had been the victim of physical abuse. Tima L. Landry and Preston Morris Lewis, Jr., were suspected in the crime.

Tima Landry was located and subsequently arrested on charges of Cruelty to a Juvenile with Force or Violence. During interrogation, Tima Landry identified Preston Morris Lewis, Jr. as an accomplice to the crime.

Warrants were filed for Lewis’ arrest. On Wednesday afternoon, Preston Morris Lewis, Jr., was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Cruelty to a Juvenile with Force or Violence

Lewis was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
