DISTURBANCE – JAVONTA DEMOND THOMAS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Javonta Demond Thomas, 31, of 234 Canal Street, Napoleonville, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from a disturbance complaint on Sunday afternoon at a residence in Napoleonville.
On Sunday evening, deputies were dispatched to the location in the 300 block of Jefferson Street. Upon arrival, deputies observed an individual later identified as Javonta Demond Thomas creating a disturbance and wanting to fight with persons on the premises.
Deputies attempted to reason with Thomas, but he was very intoxicated, angry and non-compliant.
At some point, deputies were moving to try and arrest Javonta Demond Thomas when he began to run.
A short time later, deputies came into contact with Thomas and proceeded to arrest him. Thomas again was non-compliant and resisted efforts by deputies to arrest him. Javonta Demond Thomas was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Resisting an Officer with Force or Violence
*Battery of a Police Officer
*Disturbing the Peace by Intoxication
*Resisting an Officer – 3 Counts
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
Javonta Demond Thomas remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
