PAINCOURTVILLE –Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Keion Deoindre James, 25, of 114A Sugar Lane, Paincourtville, LA, on charges following a traffic stop near Paincourtville. This was an I.C.E. Unit case.

On Saturday evening, a deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that allegedly committed a traffic violation.

The deputy was able to identify the driver as Keion Deoindre James. Upon running a criminal history check, deputies learned that James was wanted in connection with felony domestic abuse charges that occurred on April 16, 2017.

In that matter, James is alleged to have committed domestic abuse battery upon his girlfriend with a child present. The girlfriend sustained minor injuries in the altercation.

Keion Deoindre James was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment

James remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
