DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Shelby McCarty Barrilleaux, 29, of 2339 Highway 662, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, in connection with a Wednesday incident.

Deputies were dispatched at which time the complainant advised that his wife had just left and she had drugs in her possession as well as in her home.

An I.C.E. unit on assignment, made contact with the subject, now identified as Shelby McCarty Barrilleaux. After interviewing Barrilleaux, deputies obtained consent to search the vehicle and did seize quantities of suspected MDMA (Ecstasy). Deputies then returned to Barrilleaux’s home at which time consent to search was obtained. A search of the home yielded amounts of marijuana along with drug paraphernalia.

Shelby McCarty Barrilleaux was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Shelby McCarty Barrilleaux remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
