FELONY THEFT ARREST and ANOTHER SUSPECT WANTED
CORY P. MALBROUGH and PRESTON L. SAUCIER
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Cory P. Malbrough, 33, of 115 Chauvin Street, Chauvin, LA and detectives have issued warrants for Preston L. Saucier, 39, of 103 Linda Circle, Ocean Springs, Mississippi, in connection with the theft of a moveable near Plattenville, LA.
On June 5, 2020, deputies responded to a reported theft of a boat, motor and trailer as well as a utility trailer from an establishment. The incident was released to the public via Facebook shortly thereafter.
Detectives were able to develop Malbrough and Saucier as suspects and subsequently issued arrest warrants for both charging them with two counts of felony theft.
Cory P. Malbrough was arrested on June 19, 2020 in Lafourche Parish with the assistance of both Terrebonne and Lafourche Parish authorities. The boat, motor and trailer were recovered at the time of Malbrough’s arrest.
Cory P. Malbrough was transferred to Assumption Parish and booked on charges of:
*Felony Theft (2 Counts)
Malbrough remains incarcerated in the Assumption Parish Detention Center in lieu of $5000 bond.
