FUGITIVE ARREST – FELONY DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Derek Joseph Adams, 46, of 531 Fredrick Drive, Thibodaux, LA, on felony fugitive warrants following a traffic stop on LA 70 on Thursday.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle on LA 70 with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver as well as two passengers. During a computer check, it was determined that Derek Joseph Adams was wanted on a fugitive warrant for possession of heroin with intent to distribute.

Derek Joseph Adams was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a fugitive warrant from Lafourche Parish for a charge of:

*Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin

Derek Joseph Adams remains in the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending transfer to Lafourche Parish.
