NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon is cautioning residents about an ongoing scam in the Parish.

Residents are receiving calls from an organization purporting to be Publisher’s Clearing House.

The caller advises the resident that they have won a prize and are provided a phone number to call in order to establish a bank account for their winnings to be deposited.

By responding, potential victims could inadvertently provide personal information which could be used to further financially harm the victim.

We urge you to totally disregard any such calls and please do not provide any of your personal information to the caller.
