TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – KEITH MICHAEL M. MORRIS

ASSUMPTION – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Keith Michael M. Morris, 62, of 103 Grisaffe Lane, Belle Rose, LA, on felony drug charges following a traffic stop near Bertrandville, LA.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy initiated an interview of the driver, now identified as Keith Michael M. Morris. As a result of that interview, the deputy noted the driver to be driving under a suspended license.

The deputy placed Keith Michael M. Morris under arrest. The deputy conducted an inventory search prior to towing the vehicle. As a result of that search, the deputy seized quantities of powder cocaine and crack cocaine.

Keith Michael M. Morris was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Cocaine
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine
*Obstruction of Justice
*Illegal Window Tint
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License

Keith Michael M. Morris remains incarcerated with bond set at $40,000.
